He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Paul and Elma Catherine Wedgeworth Walters; his former wife Joyce Conway Walters; his son Fred Marshall Walters; his wife Nona Gray Henderson Walters; and his siblings, James Daniel "J. D." Walters, Pauline "Polly" Carpenter, Irma Harvison and Peggy McAlister.
He is survived by: his son Gary Marshall; his daughter-in-law Marcie Walters; his granddaughter Kelsie Sullivan (Aaron); his siblings, Gloria Smith (Bill) of South Carolina, Billy Walters (Sally) of West Virginia and Carl Walters (Sue) of Mississippi; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Henderson (Virginia) and Frank Henderson.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Corinth Free Will Baptist Church (2426 Camp 8 Rd, Waynesboro, MS 39367). Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at the Corinth Cemetery.
