He was predeceased by: his parents, Ides V. Rigney and Luther R. Rigney; his wife Aline Burgess Rigney; his daughter Sherline Rigney; and his siblings, Ungay Rigney, David Rigney, Voncile Odom, Rebecca Giles and Lena Pearl Anderson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Kelley (Tommy) of Waynesboro, MS and Tamara Roach (Larry) of Waynesboro, MS; his siblings, C. J. Rigney of Waynesboro, MS, L. V. Rigney (Darlene) of Blytheville, AR and Glenda Hollinghead (Fred) of Chicora, MS; his grandchildren, Jona Stevens (Corey) of Waynesboro, MS, Megan Hancock (Corey) of Starkville, MS and Toby Roach (Kalin) of Fairhope, AL; and his great grandchildren, Reese, Brantley and Millie Thomas. He is also survived by loving his girls, Sons-In-Law, and grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
