It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe N. Vines of Waynesboro, Mississippi, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Vines and Earnest N. Vines; his son Joe Edwin Vines; and his siblings, Robert Vines and Mona Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Iddings Vines of Waynesboro, MS; his children, Michael Lynn Vines of Georgia and Jodi Vines of Waynesboro, MS; his stepdaughters, Tisha Schnider (Ken) of Waynesboro, MS, Lila Kelley (Chris) of Waynesboro, MS and Alysia Merritt (Kenneth) of Sand Hill, MS; his grandchildren, Tyler Brewer (Mason), Kayla May, Payton Smith, Olivia Kelley, Maggie Kelley, John May, Shelby Smith and Lauren Schneider; his great grandchild Ellie Brewer; and his siblings, Claude Vines (Mitzi) of Tennessee and Tammy Procell (David) of Louisiana.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Winchester Cemetery.
