She was predeceased by: her parents, Velma Overstreet and James Oscar McCarty; her husband George McKee; and her siblings, James Floyd McCarty, Louise Clifford and Inez Holifield.
She is survived by: her brothers, Travis McCarty (Jewel) of Waynesboro, MS and William Clifford McCarty of Waynesboro, MS. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at the Antioch Assembly of God Church Cemetery (2130 Waynesboro Shubuta Rd, Waynesboro, MS 39367).
