He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ledger Cooley and Bonnie Mae Cooley (Kirkland); his wife Carolyn Ann Cooley; and his brother James David Cooley. He is survived by: his children, Brantley Jones of Laurel, MS and Courtney Parnell (Alex); his siblings, Dennis Cooley (Mary) of Quitman, MS, Terry Cooley of Houma, LA, Lamar Cooley of Houma, LA and Connie Butler (Clayton) of Sumrall, MS; his grandsons, Titus Jones and Vincent Jones; and his pet Mimi.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the West Cemetery.
