He was predeceased by: his father William Mack Atkinson, Sr.; his daughter Jeanna Suggs; and his brother Ira Gene Atkinson. He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Lynn Kakta; and his sisters, Barbara Gentry (Leo) of Damascus, OR and Betty Pierce (Mike) of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
