She is survived by: her children, Joanne Coffey of Coffeeville, MS, Candi Hutchins (Lee) of Water Valley, MS, Paul Carothers of Water Valley, MS and Patrick Carothers of Water Valley, MS; her grandchildren, Kim Carothers of Coffeeville, MS, Milaila Dowsing of Abbeville, MS, Rodchadro Carothers (Desiree) of Oxford, MS and Brittney Dowsing of Shreveport, LA; her siblings, Mary Carothers of Storm Lake, IA, Lottie Baker of St. Louis, MO, Ruth Bates of Kansas City, MO, Moses Gater of Sikeston, MO, Jethero Gater (Lenora) of Sikeston, MO and Jerrry Gater of Sikeston, MO; and her caregiver Emma Lou Benson. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
