He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvis Anthony and Sadie Snider Anthony. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Blount Anthony; his children, Heath Anthony (Nickie) of Dayton, Texas, Missy Hall (Andy) of Water Valley, MS and Christy Dempsey (Lavon) of Pensacola, FL; his stepchildren, Scott Gray (Lisa) of Bruce and Angela Denley of Bruce, MS; his grandchildren, Courtney Spradling (Chuckie), Chasity Darby (Gavin), Heather Berryhill (Bradley), Landin Anthony, Gregory Mansfield, Cameron Johnson, Haley Anthony, Haley Huffman (Johnathon) and Grayson Denley (Sierra); his siblings, Terry, Jimmy Dale Anthony, Ramona Anthony, Teresa Reinmann, Kathy Warren and Sandra Haynie; and his close friend Buddy. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
In his memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sammy's memory to Woodland Hills Baptist Church.
