He was predeceased by: his parents, Dena Simpson and Louis Simpson; and his brother Gene Simpson of Water Valley. He is survived by: his children, Steve Simpson (Dianna) of Collierville and Joanie Helms (Rusty) of Arab. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bellevue Baptist Church Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
