She was predeceased by: her parents, Sally Simmons Derouen and Carl Simmons. She is survived by: her husband Paul E. Powell; her sons, Joseph Powell (Joyce) and Aaron Powell (Abby); her grandchildren, Nicholas, Jude, Emma, Lexi and Kemper; her siblings, Gail Galle (Frank), Joy Krohn (AJ) and Kent Simmons (Teresa); and her niece Dawn Cox (Bryan). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
