He is survived by: his wife Joy Wilbanks Hughes of Walnut, MS; his children, Vickie Leigh Cardwell of Walnut, MS and William "Brad" Hughes of Walnut, MS; his close friend Sandra Waller; his siblings, Martha Montgomery of Walnut, MS, Catherine Brown of Falkner, MS, Betty Hopper (Wayne) of Tiplersville, MS and Billy C. Hughes (Kay) of Walnut, MS; and his grandchildren, Shane Cardwell (Lindsey), Tyler Cardwell (Heather), Heath Hughes and Josh Hughes. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
