He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Ray and Viola Box Crum; his brothers, Tommy and Hillie Lee "Bud" Bates; and also Velma Foster.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Kay Rainey Crum; his children, Carolyn Huggins of Walnut, Rebecca Porterfield of Walnut, Brandie Wommack (Dewayne Didly) of Walnut, Gary Lee Humbers (Lori) of Walnut and Michael Crum (Joani) of Walnut; his siblings, Kay Wilbanks (Clarence), Diane Towery (Billy), Kathy Barnes (Don) and James Bates of Walnut; his grandchildren, Brady, Savannah, Zyler, Levi, Kaitlyn, Jackson, Hunter, Makayla and August; his nephew Scottie Barnes; and his friends, Randy, Connie Waldon, Phillip and Mary Bates.
