We bid farewell to Vera Williams of Walls, Mississippi, born in Clarendon, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 13, 2024 at the age of 96. Vera touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Vera may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Vera touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Cook and Thelma Cook; her husband Bobby Williams; and her brother Willie Cook, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Vera White; her son-in-law Ray of Walls, Mississippi; her sons, Darryl Welch of St. Louis, Missouri, Sollie Welch of St. Louis, Missouri, Bobby Williams of St. Louis, Missouri and Cedric Williams of St. Louis, Missouri; and her sisters, Mattie Littlejohn of Conway, Nerlene Davis of St. Louis and Geraldine Turman of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
