She was predeceased by: her parents, Cora Hogan Shires and Paul Shires; her son Jerry Paul Watkins; her grandson Joseph Allen Watkins; and her brothers, Robert Shires and Richard Shires.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Watkins; her son John Watkins (Pamela Watkins); her daughter-in-law Kay Watkins; her sister Fay Fillingim; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Harris (Korey Harris), Crystal Chipman (Dustin Chipman), Jeremy Watkins (Carley Watkins) and Shane Watkins.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery South (2545 E Holmes Rd, Memphis, TN 38118).
