He is survived by: his friend Roscoe; his siblings, Ann Mulkey, Claudine Barnette, Bessie Allen, JC Melton and Robert Melton; and his children, Jimmy Melton (Maria), Lois Martin (Larry), Sandy Pettway (Lester), Lee Hughes (Nathan) and Alice Bell (Jason). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren among countless other relatives and friends.
