The passing of Travis T. Vance Jr. (Vicksburg, Mississippi) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 6, 2025 at the age of 84. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis Vance, Sr. and Bobbie H. Wahl; his wife Beverly Coles Vance; his daughter Shannan Vance; his sister Sheila Lyons; and his son James East.
He is survived by: his children, Travis Vance, III and Lori Vance Barfield (Brent); his grandchildren, Maribeth Hillhouse (Justin), Kaitlyn Manning (John) and Jason B. Barfield (Courtney); his sisters, Leslie Pitts (Chester) and Doris Jean Vance; and his close friends, Mary Powers (Bennie Slaughter) and Mike Bonner. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hawkins United Methodist Church (Vicksburg, MS). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at the Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery (191 US-80, Vicksburg, MS 39180).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hawkins United Methodist Church or PAWS Rescue, in recognition of Travis' deep faith and his love for animals.
