He was predeceased by: his brother Darrell "Spanky" Rushing. He is survived by: his wife Sirleide; his parents, R. C. Quarles and Mary Quarles; his sister Amy Hardin (Robert); his children, Jessica Bean (Andy), Ashley Mosley (Bryan), Pam Deason (David) and Douglas Aldridge; and his grandchildren, Abby, Gabby, Tabby and Mason.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Calvary Baptist Church of Vicksburg.
