She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight H. Singleton and Ruby Adams Singleton Moore; her brothers, Henry and Kenneth; her stepsister Gloria Jean "Jeanne" Parker; and also Richard Franklin Atkinson.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph L. Atkinson; her children, Cherie Burton (Henri) of New Port Richey, FL, Leigh Atkinson of Vicksburg, MS and Janet Faye Santangelo (Tony) of Brandon, MS; her grandsons, Danny, John Burton and Anthony Santangelo; her great grandchildren, Aspen Workman and Ashe Burton; and her stepsister Katherine Montgomery. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
