He was predeceased by: his mother Betty L. Foster McGowan. He is survived by: his wife Linda Dowe McGowan; his children, Mark McGowan (Callie) of Amory, MS and Lauren Powers (Paul) of Vicksburg, MS.; his grandchildren, Clover McGowan, Dowe McGowan, Lona Kate McGowan of Amory, MS, Lexie Layne Powers and Mack Powers of Vicksburg, MS.; his mother-in-law Clover M. Dowe of Utica, MS; and his siblings-in-law, Robert, Shelia Dowe and Rachael. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
