It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert E. Quimby Sr. of Vicksburg, Mississippi, who passed away on December 19, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Francis and Myrtle Quimby; and his siblings, Jim Quimby, Bill Quimby, George Quimby, Eva Norton and Cora Lofton.

He is survived by: his wife Marquida Quimby; his children, Cindy Higgins of Vicksburg, MS, Robert Quimby, Jr. (Angie) of Sanford, Billy Joe Quimby (Melesa) of Vicksburg and Shane Quimby (Brandi) of Vicksburg, MS.; his grandchildren, Erin Johnson (Sid), Joey Higgins (Missy), Christopher Higgins (Stacey), Josh Quimby (Grit), Brittany Nevels, Jake Quimby, Olivia Quimby, Joseph Quimby (Hollye), Rob Quimby (Mary Beth), Hayden Quimby (Brittany), Gage Quimby and Mason Quimby; and his brother Oscar Quimby of Florence, MS. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
