He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lou Ellis English and Barrett Sullivan English; his brother Alvin Donald English; his brother-in-law James Pegg; and his grandsons, Andrew Thomas Prudhomme and Dalton Gene Rice.

He is survived by: his wife Nora Catherine Dickerson English; his children, Steven Ray English (Robin) of Vicksburg, Tammy English of Jackson, Lou Ann English Evans (Gene) of Brandon, Mitzi English Busby (Chris) of Vicksburg, Kimberly English Joseph (David) of Vicksburg and Amber English Rice (Jeremy) of Vicksburg; his siblings, Carlton Barrett English (Karen) of Wilmington, N. C., Sybil Lou Pegg of Memphis, Judy Ann Alley (George) of Vaiden and Vanda Lenard (Drew) of Vaiden; and his sister-in-law Barbara Busbea English of Grenada. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
