With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark J. Chaney (Vicksburg, Mississippi), who passed away on July 8, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Chaney and Maude Chaney; and his wife Kathryn Chaney. He is survived by: his sons, Judge M. James Chaney, Jr. (Monnie) of Vicksburg, David L. Chaney, Sr. (Kay) of Vicksburg, Dr. Martin V. Chaney (Teresa) of Vicksburg and Carl J. Chaney (Jinx) of Lakeland, Florida; his foster daughter Bridget Foley Renfro of Santa Rosa, Florida; his grandchildren, Mark James Chaney, III, Sarah Kathryn Chaney, David Chaney, Jr. (Haley), Ashley Chaney Berryhill (Sam), Johnathan Chaney (Katie), Lacey Chaney Lee (Ryan), Logan Chaney Garner (Evan), Liza Kate Chaney Tidwell (Blake), Morgan Chaney Geary (Ryan), Brent Chaney (Alexandra), Maxcy Chaney, Katelyn Foley and Elizabeth Foley; and his close friend Maxine Logue. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
