He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Ashley and Myrtle Miller Ashley; his wives, Sandra Ashley and Charlene Ashley; his stepmother Maggie Ashley; and his brother-in-law Jackie Brady.
He is survived by: his friend Christian; his children, Marvin Ashley (Suprenia) of Delta, LA, Lamar Ashley (Betty Jean) of Pearl, MS and Wanda Ashley of Tallulah, LA; and his siblings, John Ashley (Carol) of Clinton, MS, Linda Parrett (Red) of Clinton, MS, Martha Brady of Pearl, MS and Bobbie Smith (Larry) of Brandon, MS. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
