She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Anna Simmons Merritt and Hugh B. Coker; her husband Bill (Bill); her children, Bart Miller (Tanya) and Becky Verner (Steve); her granddaughters, Kristen Miller Burney (Wyndham), Annabeth Miller and Riley Verner; and her brother Ronnie Merritt (Lottie).
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, The Vicksburg Warren Humane Society, Compassus Hospice and Hawkins United Methodist Church.
