She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Jones Brooks and James Robert Brooks; her husband Vernon Martin, Sr.; her children, Kimberly Martin Stribling, Kim Lanette Martin and Richard Wayne Martin; her siblings, Johnny Brooks, Billy Brooks, Yvonne B. Winstead and Viola B. Sanderson; and her brothers-in-law, James Winstead, David Daniels and Ray Sanderson.
She is survived by: her children, Vernon Martin, Jr. (Cheryl), Donald G. Martin (Renee) and Karen L. Martin; her siblings, Faye Brooks Daniels and Neil Brooks (Rebecca); and her sister-in-law Judy Brooks. She is also survived by two grandsons, six granddaughters, one great-grandson, numerous nieces and nephews and many family and friends.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (326 Lovers Ln, Vicksburg, MS 39183).
