We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Larry Barnes Sr. of Vicksburg, Mississippi, born in Macon, Mississippi. Larry served in the U.S. Navy aboard he USS Saratoga as an Aviation Ordinanceman. He was retired from the Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Douglas Jasper Barnes, Sr. and Annie Louise Denton; his wife Ruth Behr Barnes; and his children, Larry Allen Barnes, Jr. and Amanda Barnes McCool.

He is survived by : his daughter Jolee Ming; his grandchildren, Daphyne Keathley, Anna Ming, Cj Ming and Casey Ming; and his great grandchild Amanda Keathley. Brothers: Douglas J. Barnes, Jr., Ronald K. Barnes, and Jerry Ray Barnes.
