He was predeceased by: his parents, Sophie Johnston and Dr. Walter Johnston Sr.; his sons, Chris and Joey; his brother Syd Johnston; and his nephew Michael Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, AJ (Tracy) and Abby Smith (Nickle); his grandchildren, Bryce, Cade Johnston, Hutton, Collins and Blake Smith; and his brothers, Dr. Walter Johnston and Henry Johnston.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Crawford Street United Methodist Church (900 South St, Vicksburg, MS 39180). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the SOS Program at Crawford St. United Methodist Church, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
