With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Harold Hicks Sr. (Vicksburg, Mississippi), who passed away on December 9, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Harrison Hicks and Elma Ward Hicks; his sister Clarice Messer; his children, Mary Frances Hicks and John Harold Hicks, Jr.; and his grandson Tanner Harrison Lee Page.
He is survived by: his children, Trent Hicks and Johnalin Page; his siblings, Franklin Hicks (Trudy) and Louise Vickers; his close friend Joann Pfannenstiel; his daughter Stephanie Dickhute (Brett); his grandchildren, Madison Dickhute and Reagan Dickhute; and also Roy Powell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Glenwood Funeral Home (145 US-80, Vicksburg, MS 39180). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at the Redbone Cemetery (43 Burnt House Rd, Vicksburg, MS 39180).
