He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hartley and Kenna Hartley Mills; and his brother Russell Hartley, Sr.. He is survived by: his family Katie; his wife Betty Hartley; his children, Paul Ludwig (Robin), John VanNorman (Jeanna), Dean Palmer, Kasee Terrell (John) and Jeanette Brooks (Charles); his pet Katie (Babygirl); and his siblings, Jimmy Hartley (Debra), Paula Hartley McQueen (Neil), Graylyn Mills Crotwell (Ted) and Terri Mills Nettles. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
