He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Dudley and Mattie Ruth Holman; his wife Shirley Holman; his daughter Patricia Ann Barnette; and his brothers, Melvin Holman, Harold "Pee-Wee" Holman and Alvin Holman, Sr..

He is survived by: his children, Jesse "Jay" Holman, Jr., Glen Holman (Vanessa) and Stephanie Holman; and his siblings, Sue Holman, Sterling "Ed" Holman (Joann), James J. Holman (Cynthia) and Ted Holman (Cam). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
