It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Florence Jesse (Stone) Hazzlerigg (Vicksburg, Mississippi), who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Hazel Florence Jesse farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Hazel Florence Jesse is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Stone and Florence Annie Stone (Howe) of Liverpool; her brother Raymon Stone of Somerset, England.; her grandson Erik Raymon Dykes; and her great grandchildren, Lindsey Jane, Jackson Gerald and James Tyler Dykes.
She is survived by: her daughter Tina Grau (Dick) of Madison, MS; and also Shirley.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hawkins United Methodist Church (3736 Halls Ferry Rd, Vicksburg, MS 39180). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hawkins Methodist Church, 3736 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180; the Vicksburg Animal Shelter, 65 Cedars Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180; or Batson Children's Hospital, 2500 N. State St., Jackson, MS 39216.
