He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson Story and Minnie Lee Loftin; his stepfather Charles R. Loftin; his wife Johnnie Story; his former wife Thelma Story; and his sons, Ronnie Story, Jerry Story and Tommy Story.
He is survived by: his daughter Judy Hueppelsheuser; his sister Rosemary Gordon of Vicksburg; his grandchildren, Rebel Schulte, Avayon Thorp, Daniel Hueppelsheuser, Amber Waters, Joshua Hueppelsheuser, Mike Hueppelsheuser, Tommy Hueppelsheuser, Shandolyn Story Martin (Cliff) and Jessica Story Routh (James); his daughter-in-law Dawn Story of Dubach, LA; and his cousin Lula Cogan Muirhead of Vicksburg. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
