He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelbert Louis Curtis and Ella Mae Curtis; and his siblings, Carl Curtis, Willie Curtis, Buster Curtis, Bobbie Donaldson, Shelly Price and Dee Farris.
He is survived by: his wife Nita Curtis; his children, Charles DeWayne Curtis (Janet) and Rachel Renee Curtis Lopez (Art); and his grandchildren, Caleb Curtis, Nadia Lopez, Mya Lopez and Bianca Lopez.
