He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Cardin and Thelma Ashley Cardin; and his siblings, Betty Jo Cardin Brown, Carol Higgins and Huey "Cookie" Cardin.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Whittington Cardin; his children, Dale Cardin (Jessica), Danielle Deweese (Larry) and Crystal Clark; his grandchildren, Breanna, Makenzie, Madilynn, Eliyanah Cardin, Derrick, Brandon Deweese (Jennifer), Austin and Emily Clark; his great grandchildren, Devin, Isebell, Curtis and Dixie Deweese; and his siblings, Rosie Wemprem, Ann Appel, Buddy Cardin (Janet), Johnny Cardin and Wayne Cardin.
