He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Smith and Ruby Jewel Hensley Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Deason Smith; his children, Perry Smith (Jill) and Robin Rees (J. D.); his siblings, Charlie Smith (Billie) and Katherine Hollowell (Bob); his grandchildren, Rachel Hearst, Claire Pruden (Justin), Zane Cooper Smith, Charlie Rees and Philip Rees (Amy); and his great grandchildren, Caleb Segers (Amber), Hayes Grant, Walker Warnock, William Pruden, Blayke Pruden, Daniel Rees and Harper Rees.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery (191 US-80, Vicksburg, MS 39180).
