She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Carlson and Geraldine Hancock Carlson; and her children, Cynthia Gilson and James "Jimmy" Gilson. She is survived by: her husband James E. Gilson, Sr.; her daughter Alisa Gilson; and her sister Diane Davis. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home - Howard Avenue (675 Howard Ave, Biloxi, MS 39530). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Swetman Cemetery (3229 Mallett Rd, Biloxi, MS 39540).
