He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. R. L. and Sara Taylor Vaughn; and his siblings, Marvin E. Vaughn Sr., Edward L. Vaughn, Floyd T. Vaughn, Demaris Vaughn Brooks and Catherine "Tommie" Vaughn Price.
He is survived by: his wife Opal Moore Vaughn; his children, Jacki McIlwain Vaughn, Victor Lamar Vaughn (Sonya) and Sarah Sue Vaughn Bray (Jerry); and his grandchildren, Hagen Bray (Amber), Victoria Vaughn Gregory (Seth), Raeanna Bray Reynolds (Luke), Ethan Vaughn and James Vaughn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
