He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Edwards and Mamie Edwards; and his siblings, John Henry Edwards, Nathan Smelly, Phillip Smelly, James Smelly, Faye Nell Ehlers and Virginia Matthews.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond E. Edwards, Jr., John Michael Edwards and Deanna Schexnayder (Lorne); and his close friends, Calvin Parker (Trisha) and Gary Miller (Marsha). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church (13802 Mt Pleasant Rd, Vancleave, MS 39565). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
