He is survived by: his spouse Diedra Hayman; his children, Chris Hayman (Sherri), Julia DeForest (Tony), Sarah Schmidt (David), Beverly Adair (Bradley) and Steven Staten (Dawn); his grandchildren, Owen Schmidt, Asa Schmidt and Cora Schmidt; his sister Linda Best; and his pet Louie.
