He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt West and Lena West; his wife Jean Ganier West; his siblings, D. West, Olene West and Inez Speir; his son John; his daughter-in-law Helen Furr; his daughter Deborah; and his son-in-law Calvin Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Cathie Stokes, Susan Bowman (Gary Bowman), Michael Furr, Julie Clark, Connie West (Andrew Jenne) and Paula Brister (Bruce Brister); and his friends, Marsha Myers, Elvin Smith, Rockey Hunt and Ron Waltman. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grand children and three great great grandchildren.
