It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Thorp of Vancleave, Mississippi, who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Otho Thorp and Ollie Otho Thorp; his wife Kay Thorp; and his brothers, Gilbert Wayne Thorp and Weldon Thorp.
He is survived by: his children, Daphine Lizana, LaWanda Waltman (Wayne), Jennifer Bufkin (Dale), James Thorp, Robert Thorp and Pamela Walley; and his siblings, Janell William and Eldon Thorp. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
