He was predeceased by: his parents, James Isaac and Alifair Crum (Cook); his wife Diana Mariam Ann Harmon; and his sibling Meredith McGinnis. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Slaten (Billy) of Mitchell, Kathleen Maynard of Delaware and Amanda Blanksma (Pieter) of Leiden, Netherlands; his grandchildren, Amanda Dines, Mark Slaten, John Slaten, Hannah Hamrick, Noah Maynard and Olivia Blanksma; his siblings, Rufus McGinnis of Vancleave, Beulah Spencer of Columbus, Georgeanna Tucker of Louisa, Nancy Moore of Louisa and David McGinnis of Louisa, Kentucky.; his grandson Daniel McGinnis; his son-in-law Jeff Maynard; and his siblings, Lucille Wood, Corrine Holstein, Buford McGinnis, Claire Chambers, Sillar Marie Buffinton, Harry McGinnis, Lewis McGinnis, Virge McGinnis, Robert McGinnis and Doris McGinnis.
