With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Carter in Vancleave, Mississippi, born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away on July 3, 2023 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Archie Carter and Annie Ruth Hern; and her siblings, Jack Carter, Fox Garner and Abby Gail Conerly.
She is survived by: her husband Arvis Vincent "Buck" O'Neal; her children, Alex Childers Pelfrey (Chris Pelfrey), Jessica O'Neal Millard (Donald Millard) and Joshua Vincent O'Neal (Kaitlyn Caillavet); her grandchildren, Gryder James Pelfrey, Elizabeth Raye O'Neal and Drake Thomas Millard; and her brothers, James Archie Carter, Jr., Don Garner and Carl Garner.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Larue Baptist Church in Irene's memory.
