He was predeceased by: his wife Melvie Ruth Stees. He is survived by: his daughter Janine Mizelle (David); his grandchildren, Amber Phillips (Matt) and Zachary Mizelle (Alexandra); and his great grandchildren, David Isaac Jenkins, Bentley Mizelle, Greyson Mizelle, Tristan Phillips and Braelynn Phillips.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to any veteran's organization of one's choice.
