She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Ely and Celeste Irwin; and her grandchildren, Shawna Brown and Jeremy Moore. She is survived by: her husband Lester Brown; her children, Ronnie Brown (Donna), Calvin Brown, Lavondia Odom (James) and Patrick Brown (Vicky); her brothers, Rufus "JuneBoy" Ely (Anita) and Jimmy Ely; and her grandson Derrick Brown (Erin) of Christopher.
