With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Rhodes Kite (Vancleave, Mississippi), born in Moss Point, Mississippi, who passed away on March 5, 2020 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Corine Goff Rhodes and Henry Marion Rhodes, Sr.; her former husband John Andrew "Johnny" Kite, Jr.; and her siblings, Carolyn Rhodes, Catherine Rhodes Shields, Henry Marion Rhodes, Jr., Hazel Rhodes Henley, William C. and Elaine Rhodes Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, John A. "Andy" Kite III (Tammy) and Perian Kite Harrington (Jerry); her grandchildren, John A. "Drew" Kite IV (Beverly), Victoria Corine Harrington and Gerald Glynn Harrington III; her great grandchildren, John A. "Jak" Kite V, Philip Russell Kite, Taylor Alyssa Kite, Brenna Marie Lee and Blayne Thomas Lee; her grandsons, Glynn, Drew and Ryan; her nephews, Jerry Henley, Barry Johnson and Eddy Tyndall; and her husband Billy. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
