He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Robert Vecchio and Anna Clyde Thames Vecchio; and his sister Kahler. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Sanford Cirino Vecchio; his children, Rachelle Murphy (Brant), Mario Vecchio (Megan) and Vincent Vecchio (Kimber); his stepson John Benton Cirino (Crystal); his grandchildren, Jackson, Talin and Michaela; his siblings, D'Ann Pinero (Brett) and Dion Vecchio (Carol); his nieces, Madelyn, Taylor and Sara; his nephew Dion; his siblings-in-law, Benton, Clete Sanford, James Sanford (LeAnne), Sandy Watson (Derek), Donna Simer (Scott), Karla Bailey (Keith) and Peggy Reed (Glen); his niece Hannah Tourvill; and his pets, Harvey and Misty.
