With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vira Oakes (Vaiden, Mississippi), who passed away on April 25, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Cirk Webster and Irene Cook Webster; her husband T. I. Oakes; her daughter Shirley Norene Oakes; and her siblings, Cora Mai Webster McGee, Annie Kathryn Webster Powell and Daniel Henry Webster.
She is survived by: her sons, Tommy Oakes (Lana) of Aberdeen, Danny Oakes (Trisha) of Carmack, James Oakes of Hesterville and Bobby Oakes (Melissa) of Sallis, Mississippi; and her grandchildren, Tonya Coker (Kenny), Brad Oakes (Roxanne), Timmy Oakes (Tara), Tammy Kelley (Greg), Amanda Oakes, Alan Oakes, Laura Oakes, Suzanne Oakes, Josh Oakes, Samuel Oakes and Victoria Oakes. She is also survived by 24 Great-Grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
