Alton Glynn Downs Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2025, at the age of 87, Alton Glynn Downs of Vaiden, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephens Downs and Agnes Ramage Downs; and his brothers, James "Tody" Downs and Grady Earnest Downs. He is survived by: his sons, James Stephen Downs of Vicksburg and Michael Edward Downs of Cleveland; his brother Ricky Downs of Vaiden; his grandchildren, Chris Downs of Louisiana and Courtney Beck of Vicksburg; and his great grandchild Nick Martin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oliver Funeral Home of Winona And (113 Liberty St, Winona, MS 38967). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Poplar Springs Church.
