James Vernon Hanna Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Vernon Hanna in University, Mississippi, born in Noxapater, Mississippi, who passed away on March 13, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Conner Hanna and Evelyn Hanna; and his siblings-in-law, Dot Keen of Union, W. C. Callaway of Tennessee and Randall Johnson of Noxapater.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Callaway Hanna; his son Rusty (Lanette); his grandson Andrew (Mary Margaret); his great grandchildren, James Duke and Judah; his sisters, Barbara A. Hanna of Louisville and Kathy Johnson of Noxapater; and his brothers-in-law, Ricky Callaway (Rita) of Pearl and Winfred Keen of Union. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
